Biography

Utilizing simple but accessible supplies, Nancy Norcross-White’s art practice began as a child. Both of her parents as well as her elder siblings were integral in her early arts education. From high school summer life drawing classes with The Creative Arts Group in Sierra Madre, to her formal arts education in College, Nancy’s practice has encompassed her entire life. Nancy graduated with an Associate Arts Degree from Pasadena City College in 1982. Her college exposure to new materials, perspectives, and techniques led to plans to become a working syndicated artist making historical paper dolls for the daily newspapers. In 1984 Nancy became the owner/operator of New Creation Picture framing where she developed a unique, and now-coveted style of entirely bespoke framing that utilizes her skills as a painter, illustrator, calligrapher, gilder, and fine craftsperson.

In 2024 Nancy developed The Redwork Studio, home to her personal art practice and expert textile-finishing framing studio from which she will serve her creative clientele.
